What These Syringes Are

Reading the U-100 Scale

The U-100 scale divides 1ml into 100 units - so 1 unit = 0.01ml and 10 units = 0.1ml. Concentrations are usually expressed in mcg per ml; converting that into syringe units depends on how much bacteriostatic water the peptide was reconstituted with. Why 31G × 8mm

• A 31-gauge needle is among the finest commonly available (≈0.25mm outer diameter) - it minimises tissue disruption at the application site in research settings.
• The short 8mm length is a short-needle format common in laboratory handling.
• The integrated (non-detachable) needle has minimal dead space, so almost none of the drawn solution is wasted - relevant when a vial holds only a few ml.

Single Use Only

Each syringe is sterile-packed for one use. Reusing a syringe dulls the needle, compromises sterility and degrades the remaining solution in the vial. With a pack of 10 at this price, there is no reason to reuse.
